POSITIVE THINKING BOOMTOWN FOR RATS: Radio Program
BRAND: BBC
PRODUCTION COMPANY: BBC Radio 4 Scotland
OUR ROLE: Location Sound Recording

In an episode of BBC Radio 4’s Positive Thinking, presenter Krupa Padhy sits down with three speakers to talk about the idea of a rat-free Britain.

As climate change has led to a rise in flooding, this has driven rats into homes which can result in fire, property damage and disease. In addition, a reduction in waste collection and an increase in fly-tipping has led to a surge in infestations. In New Zealand, there is a plan to eradicate every rat on the island within three decades. The plan, titled “Predator Free 2050” has inspired conservationists in New Zealand, but could a similar plan work in Britain? This question is explored in Boomtown for Rats.

1.618 Digital was brought to cover some interview recordings.
